Great place to discover new and upcoming bands, don't forget to bring earplugs!!! You can also get them at from the bartender if they don't run out.

The best hole in the wall dive in Kansas. All kinds of bands and performers grace the stage. I have gone to see certain bands, but normally just go and not know what’s coming. It’s always eclectic. The staff is great. It’s always free and patrons tip the bands. Absolutely love the energy of a show in such a small intimate spot. Not a food place, but a LMNO pizza hits the spot after a few drinks and a show.

I was shocked to find that there wasn’t a cover here! They make up for this with their entertainment, cold beer, ice-cold jelly (Thinky Flesh), and solid personal pizza menu. Please throw your excess cash into the provided bucket located on the picnic table in front of the stage so the artists can eat. I wasn’t too fond of the way the picnic table took up so much real estate right in front of the stage, but it makes for a great platform to jump from when wearing 6 inch platform boots. (Looking at you, Thinky Flesh👀) The arcade next door is solid filled wall to wall with pinball machines that are maintained by a veteran pinhead who knows his stuff. I was excited to find there was a vintage Ice Cold Beer game, but disappointed to find that it was out of service for the night. They had all the hits. Harry Potter, Ghost Busters, and even an emulator with Street Fighter. I was not disappointed one bit. For how small this place and Kirby’s next door looked from the outside, they pack a larger than life personality inside for an intimate setting to enjoy beer and pizza without a pesky cover charge. PAY WHAT YOU CAN AND BE SURE TO TIP YOUR BARTENDER!!! When you’re done over indulging at either of these places, head on down to the halal market and deli on the end of the humble strip mall and feast on some legitimately authentic and delicious gyros and kebobs. As an out-of-towner, this gave me a new respect for Wichita, and I would definitely make the drive to come here for another show. Worth it!

GREAT PLACE TO GO TO CATCH LIVE MUSIC ALL MOST EVERY NIGHT. PLACE AS A LONG HISTORY OF NO COVER CHANGE EVER!!!!!!! PIZZA AND SNACK FOOD. MUST BE 21 TO ENTER. THEY HAVE RECENTLY OPEN UP ONE OF THE MOST UP TO DATE PINBALL ROOMS WITH "FLIPSIDE"HAPPINESS AND LAUGHS TO HAVE FOR THE NEXT 50 PLUS YEAR'S .. TIP THE BANDS AND BARTENDERS. WITHOUT THEM WICHITA WOULD BE A BORING PLACE .

Reviewing mostly for the Pinball side since Kirby's FlipSide doesn't have an official separate listing yet. Love this place. Drinks are good, great prices, and some lovely clientele with it being a stone's throw away from WSU. The pinball alley is amazing; like a grunge-band arcade's dream-come-true. They use a card system for credits, with daily specials, and two hours of All You Can Play for $10 with a 3-minute cooldown. The owner typically rotates some machines out once a month, and has machines for rent also. This is also home to the second-ever Limited Edition Stern cabinet I've ever seen.

Loved Kirbys. Great place for beer and cider, a few wine and n/a beverage selections. Atmosphere was the perfect casual, on campus local bar with great music playing. Loved the open windows and outdoor seating area.

The best bar/venue in the tristate area. A welcoming safe place for all people, and an institution. And speaking as a musician, it is by far the best sound in Wichita. LONG LIVE Kirby’s.

Awesome venue! Live music is fantastic but bring earplugs. They also had a jar of free earplugs at the bar. Super nice staff. Will absolutely visit again!
